Alejo y Javier Estebecorena, industrial and fashion designers started their HE project in 1999, when they sold their items of clothing in Salsipuedes, a mixed brand shop in Palermo.
The logo of the brand is a Japanese ideogram that the brothers chose without knowing that it was pronounced ji, as the sound of the word HE in English.
Hermanos Estebecorena started with a very small studio located in Palermo - where there used to be a Baker’s in the 50`s- and an initial production of four fashion models .After 8 years , it has become a company that produces 150 different items of clothing for men , 100% Argentinean design . From the conceptual and technological development of each garment, HE combines products of evolution with an anthropomorphic proposal, the shape of the human body and the search of an aesthetic solution.
HE has not only designed the above mentioned products, it also designs specially the places to assist its clients. With a wide range that goes from the selective to the massive market, it has found its place in Palermo, San Isidro, Paseo Alcorta and the Duty Free shop in Ezeiza
In 2002, it started to export its products to cities such as Santiago deChile, New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Chicago.
In March, 2009, the brand landed in the exclusive shops of Bird, Brooklyn, New York. The Bird shops have set the trends for the last ten years in the New York neighborhood, due to its perfect selection of international designers.
HE was recognized worldwide by magazines such as Spruce, Wallpaper, Time Out, and Washington Post. The icing of the cake came when the English ID positioned them #57 in the chart, as the designers that will change the Design in the next years.
